Referendum Facts on the Limited Slots Vote at Ebro

Referendum Facts & Voter Information

The county-wide referendum will be held on January 31, 2012.

The referendum is being held with the Republican Presidential Preference Primary, however, all registered voters, not just Republicans, can vote in the referendum.

To be able to vote in the referendum, you must be a registered voter on or before Jan. 3, 2012.

Voting ‘Yes’ approves the use of slot machines exclusively at Ebro Greyhound Park in Ebro, FL, and no other facility.

The ballot question reads as follows:

Early voting is Jan. 21-28, 2012, and will be held at the Supervisor of Elections office located at 1331 South BLVD, Suite 900, Chipley, FL.  Voters must present photo and signature identification, or vote a provisional ballot.  A Florida driver license or identification card will meet these requirements.  All registered voters are eligible to vote, all parties.

No taxpayer money will be spent for the referendum. Instead, at its request, Ebro Greyhound Park is paying all costs associated with the referendum balloting.
